KAJIAN MENGENAI DAMPAK DAN MANFAAT BIMBINGAN KERJA TERHADAP KETERAMPILAN WARGA BINAAN DI LEMBAGA PEMASYARAKATAN (Studi Kasus di Lapas Perempuan Jakarta Periode 1 Januari 2023 s/d 31 Desember 2023)

Abstract

The main function of correctional institutions is not only as a place of detention, but also as a place for rehabilitation, guidance and preparation for the reintegration of convicts into society. Through career guidance and counseling integrated in the Job Guidance program, inmates are given an understanding of what is expected of them when they return to society. The Job Guidance Program aims to reduce recidivism rates by providing inmates with the tools necessary to succeed in life after completing their sentence. The process of assessing the interests, talents and abilities of inmates before starting the Job Guidance program is very important in designing an effective program that suits individual needs. This research will discuss the benefits of job guidance for assisted residents in improving skills and obstacles in implementing job guidance for assisted residents. The legal research methods used are Normative Juridical and Empirical Juridical legal research methods. Using a statutory approach obtained from primary, secondary and tertiary legal material sources.  The impacts resulting from Job Guidance on the skills of inmates in the Jakarta Women's Prison include inmates having activities to fill their free time, preventing unwanted actions, being able to manage and reduce stress levels and being able to increase their knowledge and skills and obstacles encountered in carrying out activities. Job Guidance in the Jakarta Women's Prison, namely lack of enthusiasm for the inmates, lack of interest and motivation for the inmates, lack of perseverance in the training they are taking part in, inadequate infrastructure and limited instructors.
