Domestic violence is defined in Law Number 23 of 2004 concerning the Elimination of Domestic Violence as behavior directed against individuals, especially women, which results in physical, sexual, psychological or neglect in the household. These threats take the form of actions, coercion, or restrictions on independence that also violate the law in the domestic environment. Since the PKDRT Law was enacted, perpetrators of domestic violence are not subject to articles of the Criminal Code, instead, they must be subject to the PKDRT Law which provides heavier criminal penalties. In order to provide understanding to the people of Sirnajaya Village, Sukamakmur District, Bogor Regency about Domestic Crime, this socialization is expected to broaden understanding regarding behavior that falls into the Domestic Crime category and its negative impact on society. Through this outreach, we believe that the general public can understand that Domestic Violence (KDRT) is a criminal act, where the public knows and understands how to resolve it outside the court before entering the court.References
