TINJAUAN YURIDIS PERLINDUNGAN HUKUM TERHADAP HAK CIPTA MUSIK PADA PLATFORM SPOTIFY BERDASARKAN UNDANG UNDANG NOMOR 28 TAHUN 2014 TENTANG HAK CIPTA

Losses incurred to the owner of the song can have a very adverse impact because different backgrounds become the main factor. Although the copyrighted work of the song already has legal protection does not rule out the possibility of a dispute or violation of the copyright of the song. along with the times the fulfillment to be protected is getting higher accompanied by a country that protects the legal protection of copyright, especially music. Furthermore, questions arise about how the protection of How Music Copyright Settings on the Spotify Platform Based on Law Number 28 of 2014 concerning Copyright and How Legal Protection in the event of a violation of Music Copyright on the Spotify Platform in Indonesia. So diharpkan can achieve the goal of adding knowledge related to the legal umbrella of copyright infringement in its application on the Spotify Platform. The author uses a research method that the author uses is a normative legal research method. The data collection tool used in this research is Library Research (Library Reasearch). Legal Protection of Copyright Holders there is legal certainty that protects and maintains a creation. For the Indonesian state, this is Number 28 of 2014, the provisions are regulated in article 113 paragraph 4. The closure of Spotify accounts related to the prosecution of illegal accounts can only be seen in the last Google search engine in 2018, while what happened in 2023 was the last violation of Music Copyright. The Copyright Law provides direction that licensing can be implemented as long as it does not cause adverse effects on the Indonesian economy or by containing provisions that result in unfair business competition. The challenge of transformation and modification of creations that are currently widespread by digital platforms has a weakness because it is prone to being overridden so that the creator and / or related copyright holders are vulnerable to losses due to loss of economic rights.
