IMPLEMENTASI UNDANG-UNDANG NO 12 TAHUN 2022 TENTANG TINDAK PIDANA KEKERASAN SEKSUAL DALAM PENANGANAN KEKERASAN SEKSUAL DI INDONESIA

Following the enactment of Law Number 12 of 2022 concerning Criminal Acts of Sexual Violence (UU TPKS), the number of sexual violence crimes remains high throughout Indonesia. Furthermore, the modus operandi used is also evolving. The TPKS Law is considered to have not been implemented optimally and evenly by law enforcement officials. This article examines various regulations related to sexual violence in various laws and examines in more depth the obstacles to its implementation. The analysis shows that two main steps are needed: the issuance of all implementing regulations for the TPKS Law and targeted outreach, specifically to all parties affected by the TPKS Law, particularly law enforcement officers, and the public in general, so that the benefits of the TPKS Law can be further realized.
